The new Cendevaves Alpine Silence Hotel in Santa Cristina, Val Gardena
Much of Monte Pana in Val Gardena has retained its original condition. The tranquillity is all encompassing. The mighty Sassolungo which serves as a silent watchman. Only the Hotel Cendevaves in Santa Cristina reinvents itself. After an extensive restructuring it was reopened in December 2024 under the new name Cendevaves Alpine Silence Hotel. Only 28 suites, but endless space. Family care, but plenty of undisturbed privacy. That is the true epitome of luxury. I'm looking forward to get to know the small and exclusive new hotel in Val Gardena. I am always looking for something special and am sure: I will find it here at the heart of the Dolomites.
On the Monte Pana, I see hikers, skiers, deer and squirrels. I breathe in the purest mountain air and savour the peaceful silence, which is only interrupted by nature itself.
At an altitude of 1,650 metres, I fall asleep with the window open and a view of the star-studded sky. I am woken by the whisper of nature - just in time for breakfast with spectacular view of the Dolomites.
Here I can always find a quiet place just for me. Thanks to the generous amount of space per guest, the Cendevaves creates a feeling of freedom that I have never experienced before.
The new garden world proves that it doesn't take much to relax. Nature is itself the most effective wellness area. The purest mountain air fills my lungs, fresh mountain spring water refreshes me to the core. The Langkofel and Plattkofel rise up majestically on the horizon as I drift away on the calming waves of the new Sky Pool. The saunas and relaxation areas work their magic and take me into a world of well-being.
Infected by the sporting enthusiasm of my hosts, I am drawn out into the great outdoor. They inspire me to discover hidden corners and provide me with new insider tips every day. I hike across colourful alpine meadows. I walk through fragrant and fresh forests. I pedal along. It is so quiet on the high plateau of Monte Pana that you can hear the branches swaying in the wind and the birds beating their wings.
When the Dolomites dream under a blanket of snow, my heart starts to beat faster. In the ski room, I slip into my pre-warmed ski boots and strap on my skis. I take the hotel's own drag lift into the heart of Europe's largest ski carousel. My absolute highlight: You can access the Sella Ronda directly from the hotel. In addition to the ski slopes, cross-country ski trails and winter hiking paths also lead right past the hotel.
